Finding sources of local food just got easier.
Look for the yellow symbol at your local food stores and restaurants. It signifies that the whole food item or that the main ingredients of the prepared food item have been grown and/or raised within 100 miles from the point of purchase.
The symbol system proudly honors the same principle as the website: Due to the inherent nature of buying locally and the many advantages of knowing your grower, the accuracy of all information regarding the farming and production practices of the seller is and will be self-checking.
If the labeled food item does not clearly state the food's origin, please ask the store or restaurant owner for more information.
It is strongly encouraged that all consumers know the origin of their food. To learn more about the grower and their farming practices, first go to the Alphabetical Listing page, then make arrangements to visit the farm.
